audrey dimola: hudson river and train tracks; tarrytown, new york.
AD’s inspiration and reason: i really like this photo because of the sort of natural frame created by the criss-crossing tree branches and foliage/weeds all around the border. this shot was taken while walking around the grounds of lyndhurst, the beautiful castle-like mansion in historic hudson valley, this past fall. unfortunately you’re banned from taking photos inside lyndhurst itself, but luckily everything on the outside is gorgeous as well! if you stand right on the edge you can look over the metro north tracks to stunning views of the hudson, mountains and cliffs, and of course the tappan zee bridge. it’s really quite breathtaking, and again i recommend that anyone who hasn’t taken a trip up to tarrytown or a trip on the hudson line in general - should!
